Thank’yaw Come Again

I don’t normally use stereotypes on my subject lines but I think that the catchphrase of Apu from The Simpsons is more than apt for this item. Following along the lines of so many other companies who have gone to India for cheaper labour costs compared to the US and Europe, Dell also relocated their tech support call center to India. However, following on from a huge number of complaints about being unable to understand call operators and generally having to deal with only scripted responses, Dell have stepped back and moved all corporate calls back to the US in an attempt to appease the bigger clients. However, this is not likely to amuse the home market who still have their calls routed through the Indian call center. It may be cheaper labour but that doesn’t mean you have extra cash to buy more goodwill. source: CNN.com
