Over the last week the media has been flooded with stories about the justice minister and his statement relating to Frank Connolly. Much criticism has been aired relating to the actions of the minister who pleads that he has acted in good faith with respect to the matter. However, Justice Flood has now said that the courts are the only ones allowed to cast such judgements on the people of this land and as such believes that it may not have been proper for the minister to act in such a fashion. I’m sure that many people are fed up of the minsiter’s rants at this stage against anything that isn’t the current government. I would very much like to see a change in the staffing of that position and I’m sure I’m not alone. source: Irish Times
