At some stage or another you’ll have several computers, network attached storage devices, backup DVDs and still maintain a healthy dose of paranoia regarding the potential loss of your digital data. Web-based storage solutions have been around for some time now, I think the first one I ever used was Winamp’s locker service for storing your MP3 files. Anyway I just stumbled across (no, not stumbled upon) this new service from Orbitfiles. By giving them your e-mail address and a password they will give you 6 GB of free online storage. Cool! So naturally rather than setting up two new gmail accounts I signed up to this and will try it out over the next couple of days. I’ll post again with my experiences but I can report that the signup was quite painless. 🙂 source: Orbitfiles
