A warming story of a DART passenger who was fined and accused of fare-evasion only to have the court find in his favour. The accused simply gave an account of the ridiculous tiket sales point and the huge queues involved in order to catch a DART when he was under extreme time pressure. The judge didn’t have to listen twice and deemed that the accused had a valid point when he heard that he had tried to pay the fare upon arrival at his destination and therefore did everything possible to pay his way. Ah tis great to hear. source: Irish Times
