Thanks to Cian F for this link to what must be the best letter of the year to the Times. Supposedly a Greek tourist in Ireland was travelling between Youghal and Waterford on the weekend that Greece won the Euro championship (also known as the weekend that Waterford won the Munster championship). Anyway this tourist was incredibly proud to see masses of blue and white greek flags along the coast between Youghal and Waterford in support of his country. I have my suspicions about the authenticity of the letter but I have to confess I jokingly thought the same thing myself that weekend. source: The Irish Times – Letters
