News just broken over night. It appears that the source code of Windows NT4/2K has been leaked and is available for download on the web at the moment. One source reporting on the leak said that “The ramifications of this leak are far reaching and devastating”. I thought to myself indeed this is true, if anyone were to successfully compile and run this code who knows what kind of disasters might ensue. Even worse is that somebody might modify the code and fix “issues” and prove that there is a stable OS underlying the layer of dll rot. Oh the sheer terror of it all!! source: Slashdot
