Just reading the latest report on the Sobig virus and warnings of possible new strains of the virus that might be seen in the very near future. I have to stop and wonder that with all the technology available to us these days and how savvy we have become; why are so many people still being infected by e-mail viruses that are so obviously suspicious emails at first glance to so many. I wrote an article for the local newspaper over a year ago on this subject and it seems as though, a year on, people are still as ignorant as ever. The spread of these viruses is mainly attributed to, in my mind, user stupidity and ignorance. A small bit of thought and vigilance when checking your mail could probably half the number of infections over night. Anyway read more on Sobig… source: CNN.com
